bought this for my 8 yr old daughter ….NICE computer she LOVES IT….. windows XP doesn’t max out RAM usage so one gig IS PLENTY nice sized hard drive and wonderful battery life of 5 hrs …WOW….. you just want to use the browser in full screen (F11) so it isn’t all toolbar on the screen…just bought one for my 10 yr old son (he doesn’t know) ANY drivers for games can be downloaded online …just installed drivers online for the Barbie all dolled up nails, UB Funkeys, added ToonTown plenty of room..looked at the Acer and the Nickelodeon but battery life was lame enjoy your purchase….

This computer has worked very well for the month or so I’ve had it. Long battery life, which was my primary interest, and no trouble doing basic internet and word processing work. It comes out of sleep mode very quickly, another big plus for me.

The only thing that’s bothered me so far is that my right thumb tends to accidentally rest on the touch pad while I’m typing, resulting in the cursor doing funny things. I don’t know if I’ll eventually “teach” my thumb to stay out of the way or not, but it has been over a month of regular use, and I haven’t figured it out yet.

I love this little netbook. Was looking for something small and easy to carry with me on trips so I could keep connected and check on my online business. This did everything I needed. The battery lasted a long time and connected easily to the WiFi networks available, when my hubby’s big laptop wouldn’t always connect. I was careful with the plug to charge the battery since several reviews said it could break easily, but didn’t have any problems. Would definitely recommend this netbook to anyone looking for something lightweight and easy to carry for trips.

I decided to purchase this one because it met and exceeded my requirements for a NETBOOK. The specs on this baby match up better than most. Great keyboard and mouse, keys feel great, wireless n, fast boot, upgradeable from 1GB to 2GB, user friendly ASUS Bios updater interface, Microsoft works, lightweight. You must understand first the context of my statement. I wanted a NETbook. Not a Laptop. I didnt want an “ultimate” or Professional” version of ANYTHING running on this NETbook. I wanted it to be lean and mean. I wanted a small, powerful, convenient AND FAST NETbook for casual surfing and email. If you wanted more, your in the wrong market. I didnt buy this to play games, edit, video, watch TV or DVD’s, etc. Like I said I didn’t want a Laptop. Windows Starter 32 bit is an excellent match for a NETbook. Think of Windows 7 Starter as just that, the place to start. I figured, if I NEED an “anytime upgrade” Ill get it. At this point, having had used it for a week, I’m not changing a thing. Less is more with a NETbook. Ill save upgrades for my LAPtop and DESKtop. From when I push the power button to my first opening click of Firefox = less than one minute. I removed some preloaded crapware, i.e. ASUS whistles and bells and some preloaded games. Added Norton Internet Security Netbook Edition, and bingo, the perfect NETbook.

” I love this little laptop. I was looking at several Windows CE Palmtops just when I discovered this laptop. I bought it right away. I wish it had Bluetooth but it does not. It has a good WiFi antenna built in though so that is a plus. I love XP and I love the speed, the 6 hour battery, the hard drive size. I added a LG laptop DVD burner to my USB port, It powers that great and I was able to watch 2 movies on one charge on a recent trip. I keep it in my work van for business inside a clipboard so no one see’s I have it. If I loose it I will get another one. “
