Netbooks - Linux Or XP?
For those who buy netbooks, the most important considerations is the integrated operating system of the netbooks. Out in the market you can either Linux or Windows XP version of the same model to buy netbook by the same manufacturer. This is especially true for Asus Eee Netbooks, where there is always a Windows XP and a Linux version.
So, choose what you should Netbook? If you go for price and stability of the system, you'd much prefer LinuxNetbook. If you purchase any model of Asus Eee netbook, you best bet to be a really cheap one to buy a Linux-based model.
Linux Netbooks
Linux is a free and open source operating system that runs well on old PCs and less powerful computers such as mini-laptops. Linux users swear by the reliability of Linux netbooks? It boot quickly, usually not in the crash and are compatible with free and open source software.
Not surprisingly, since it isOpen Source, Linux operating systems come in many different varieties and adaptations. Windows XP
Windows XP netbooks have a standard user interface, and it is easy to use as Windows netbooks as you have your desktop PC. The problems with Windows XP is that it is vulnerable to malware, such asTrojans and viruses, although Microsoft has improved Windows XP since its debut and it is a resource-intensive operating system than Linux. On the positive side, is using Windows XP, while older significantly less resources than Vista and still can run fast on a mini-laptop.
Windows XP OS, however, remains a favorite among computer users. The main advantage of Windows XP to Linux is that many of the useful software like Adobe Photoshop are written for Windows and can only be usedon a Windows-based computer.
