Absolutely love this netbook. Immediately upgraded to 2 GB of RAM, and was impressed by the speed and battery life. I bought it for several months of international traffic was light, had long battery life, and I would do with Skype family and friends from afar (and watch movies on long flights, train and bus). They have done all these things very well. Know that when companies report the weight of the Netbook, but I feel netbook, no power cord, which probably added another book due to the converter and cables of great thickness. If you're traveling, you have to carry around too, so just be prepared.

I bought it to support me in extending the mission.

I just use it for 3 weeks on a business trip to Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia.

There were three things that I need this:
1) the normal work: word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
2) stay in touch with home
3) to take me to go blind 11-12 hours of flight.

We purchased this netbook for our VERY WEB-CONNECTED 17-year old daughter after looking at about 20 other similar products specs on the web. With 160 GBytes of storage, it does not win the game in storage capacity (the Gateway notebook has 240 GBytes), but in terms of battery autonomy (6-7 hours of actual usable charge with normal browsing/email activity!), a robust rubberized casing (good for teenagers), a bright screen, decent webcam and great non-compressed keyboard, it is an absolute joy to use for slightly above 0! You just cannot go wrong with the Samsung…

Netbook bought this past weekend. I also HP Mini N270 processor and 16GB hard drive with solid state.

The screen is bright, the keyboard has a good layout, and N280 processor is faster than the HP. Extremely small inconveniences are footprints on the outside and the touchpad is (slightly) jerky. The touchpad is not as good as the HP, but not enough to make me change my mind about the purchase of this car on HP.

Battery life is good, because I used about 5 hours and have not yet charged.

Bought my Eee PC 1000HE from Amazon, at the end of July 2009. No problems with Amazon, but with ASUS Support Customer Service. Eee worked perfectly for 2 weeks … then no charge and I would not even use electricity to power a PC.

The name ASUS technical support, their customer service is far from perfect. Before I wanted FAX credit card details so that he would send a replacement for two to two pieces of cord / adapter. Then, when I expressed surprise that my credit card details by fax, said it was what "everyone else" (I was a bit 'skeptical safety FAX … you know' identity theft 'and so. And it is the so-called high-tech company!)

I took this netbook in part because it was advertised as an LED-backlit display and has been promoted as a "green" laptop. But after I bought it, I realized that this was anything but. I turned to find that she said the following. "Lamp contains mercury. Dispose of in accordance with applicable local and national." As we all know, the LEDs do not contain mercury, CCFL's do. So there you have it … written on the back of the Netbook - this laptop is CCFL backlit although advertised as LED backlighting. He also said that the manual handling of the cable are exposed to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm … lovely. I tried to ask Toshiba's "technical support" up and were useless .. could not even pronounce LED. Needless to say I returned as soon as possible.

This is the first time I bought a cheap computer in my life. This is my 7th Computer and I could say that this has a good performance for a cheap laptop.
I use this in school and work as a Paramedic and it works fine. It is handy in my job. Also, it is scratch resistant which the first thing that I got attracted it does not have the shiny skin which I hate because I do not like scratches. The speaker is too small for this laptop which I did not like. I also put games in it such as Fate. I haven’t try to put more games in it because this is not a gaming PC. Battery life is good enough to stay longer in school and work.

I bought this as a conditional gift for my 3 years nickjr games, but only if she stays in bed all night 5 days in a row. So far, it is not, so he gave me the opportunity to use this netbook a decent amount. I must say I am impressed thusfar. I added 2 GB memory upgrade, I put MS Office on this subject, I bought the matching Toshiba external DVD, and I present an anti-virus on it. They treat me like my VAIO laptop, and so far has worked perfectly without problems ot slow. It 'so light and portable and the battery lasts a long time, even after watching 2 DVDs. Go to Toshiba website and download the new audio driver, which increases the volume of a DAT. The speakers are not great, but certainly enough to watch a movie or listening to music in a very quiet place. I begin to hope that my daughter continues to come in our bed at night so it can continue to use this netbook!
