Toshiba Mini NB305-N410WH 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 11 Hours of Battery Life Review

Toshiba Mini NB305-N410WH 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 11 Hours of Battery Life
I have had this netbook for 2 weeks and after moderate use the only complaint is the keyboard. I find that at least 1 or 2 keys tend to stick down after being pressed, and they click back up after a second. It’s very unusual and I was not able to find a solution on the Toshiba technical support website.

Otherwise, the display is good, the size is great, and the battery life is as described. It’s a great way to browse the web and check email on the road or at play.

Toshiba Mini 300 Series NB305-N310 10.1-Inch Netbook - Black Onyx Review

Toshiba Mini 300 Series NB305-N310 10.1-Inch Netbook - Black Onyx
I too have carefully researched my decision to add a netbook as a in-between addition to my iPhone and Macbook Pro. I completely agree with the below reviews that this netbook really shines and is worth the extra money. I almost went with Asus but trying one out in-store, I did not like the trackpad and how cheap it felt in your hand. This netbook exudes quality in the hand and performs so well, you forget it is a netbook. I am only writing to add a warning to those where the following issues may be an issue. While the keyboard is full size and quite comfortable and the trackpad does have multi-touch, there a couple of issues that might be a problem for some. First the keyboard keys have a different responsiveness on the lower row of keys right next to the trackpad, especially the space bar. These keys take more pressure than the other keys which can throw you off at first. You have to make a mental note to press a little harder or you will be missing space keys, periods, commas, etc. If you use more than one computer, this takes a few moments of adjustments each time you are entering a lot of text but it is a flaw that can be overcome. Second, the trackpad and the multi-touch is a little sensitive. I haven’t found multi-touch specific adjustments for the pad, just an ability to turn it off and on and your normal control panel mouse options. The trackpad can sometimes hang-up or scroll very quickly.
These issues plus the Windows 7 starter don’t make me regret my decision to buy this netbook, they just make me appreciate my Macbook even more. I would suggest trying one out in store first and try scrolling through websites you use often. Also, try typing a paragraph on it to determine if it is the right choice for you.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 (NB200 series) 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life Review

Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 (NB200 series) 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life
Mines actually shipped with Windows XP installed instead of Windows 7 Starter, which is what I preferred anyways. Did not need to upgrade the RAM to 2GB because I use XP and ran mostly firefox, microsoft office, itunes, videos, etc. If you’re going to game, use photoshop, install windows 7 ultimate or other heavy apps then upgrade to 2GB RAM.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330WH 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330WH 10.1-Inch Frost White Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I’ve had my Toshiba NB205 N330 Netbook for a week. I have really enjoyed it very much! I love the design, the keyboard and the large touch pad. I gave the netbook a 4 because as someone else here mentioned, the speakers truly are non-existant but you can increase them a little by going into the equalizer settings and choosing “Powerful or Live” and it does make them a little louder.

Also as others have mentioned there are times when the touchpad doesn’t respond for a few seconds.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N325PK 10.1-Inch Posh Pink Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Toshiba Mini NB205-N325PK 10.1-Inch Posh Pink Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
After much consideration I decided to purchase the Toshiba mini. I love it. My goal was to find a computer I could use to check e-mail, surf the web and update my resume. It is portable job searching machine. It provides everything I need in a laptop in a small portable size. I checked it out at best buy and ordered it at Amazon because the price was better. The keyboard is also closer to what I am used to which is another big selling point. The only negitive thing I can say is that the speakers are terible. You can barely hear it. Headphones are a necessity. I really don’t do a lot of music but if you did you may want to consider it. Buy the Toshiba you will not be disappointed.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330BN 10.1-Inch Sable Brown Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330BN 10.1-Inch Sable Brown Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
This Netbook is a solid choice. Well built and good looking too. I would add the next 2 points to the existing database of reviews:

- comes loaded with a lot of toshiba utilities. Some good but overall seems to slow down the boot up. Havent tried to remove them yet.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330PK 10.1-Inch Posh Pink Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330PK 10.1-Inch Posh Pink Netbook - 9 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I’ve been browsing around for awhile in search of the right netbook and I finally (sorta) settled down on this Toshiba mini NB205 N330. I say sorta because I actually haven’t bought it yet but I’ve tested it–as well as other netbooks–numerous times whenever I visit an electronics store.

A great feature of this netbook is its keyboard. I’m mainly using this netbook to takes notes in class and the buttons are the right size for my fingers which makes typing a whole lot more efficient and satisfying. I find myself making less typos with this extra space in between each button than when I was testing with other netbook keyboards.
